The consultation period for the Waikato CDEM Strategic Plan 2025 - 2030 has now closed. We appreciate your feedback and are now working through the submissions. The Group Joint Committee hearing will be on 16 June for those who requested to support their submission in person.

The Waikato Civil Defence Emergency Management (CDEM) Group Strategic Group Plan 2025 – 2030 (the plan) is an important document that sets the vision and direction of emergency management in the Waikato for the next five years.

The plan aims to enhance the preparedness of the Waikato, contributing to the vision of ‘a disaster resilient Waikato’. It does not include the operational information on how we respond to individual hazards such as floods, cyclones, and earthquakes across the region.
